In the course of our chaotic lives, one finds places that lead us from one journey to the next. We find these paths in our waking world and our dreaming world. I have been fortunate to find places that seem to be part of both worlds.
Ethereal Moments
now you should see this fleeting world:
a star at dawn, a bubble in a stream,
a flash of lightning in a summer cloud,
a flickering lamp, a phantom and a dream.

On the night of my 30th birthday, I unknowingly began a conversation with the earth. I dreamt of a set of steep stairs that lead down to a lighthouse. The land the lighthouse was placed on jutted out into the ocean. The ocean was reflecting the blue of the sky back making the line of sea and sky disappear.
The next morning, I joined a friend on a planned trip to Point Reyes, California. I held on to the back of his motorcycle as the buildings of San Francisco turned into the green hills of Marin. We were greeted by dairy cows, a fox and a soaring hawk. After an hour and a half drive, we pulled up to the lighthouse and it was exactly as I had envisioned it. I had arrived at this edge of land and met the Earth.
Since then, I have traveled around the world. I visited all the continents in one year, capturing the memories in photos and video. And now I travel as often as possible, following the call of places yet to be experienced.
I’d like to share those moments with you and inspire you to find the magical moments on your travels.
